The BPMA has a regular programme of training delivered in one day modules

TRAINING

The following technically based courses are presented by an experienced tutor in a modular form, each taking no longer than a day. Training can either be in one of our offices see current dates below or if you have 6 or more attending training can be held at your premises. Delegates can select a topic, which stands alone, or link modules to provide on-going updating in a particular subject area. Module 001 Part One (fundamentals) is normally required before moving onto other modules. Subject to the successful completion of an assessment, each delegate with receive a BPMA Certificate for each module attended.

MODULE 001: PART 1 PUMPING FUNDAMENTALS                                                         

Introduces delegates to the role of pumps and pumping and the effects of liquid qualities.

MODULE 001: PART 2 PUMP SELECTION                                                                          

Extends the fundamentals dealt with in Part 1 and illustrates a procedure from evaluation of enquiry data, through to issuing of a tender document

MODULE 007: PUMP TESTING                                                                                       

Performance indicators are identified and test methods reviewed to include flow, pressure, speed, noise and vibration. 

MODULE 008: SYSTEMS                                                                                                       

Examines fluid flow principles, flow regimes and evaluates good and bad practices

MODULE 009: INTRODUCTION TO THE HYDRAULIC DESIGN PRINCIPLES OF CENTRIFUGAL PUMPS                                                                                                                  

Deals with the design approach to impellers, volutes, diffusers and outlets together with the effects of thrust, noise and vibration.

MODULE 016: SEALLESS PUMPS                                                                                              

Introduces the sealless pump including its use with noxious or flammable liquids and includes canned and permanent magnet types.
